Discover Lakes & Caverns in Charles Fuhr, Argentine Patagonia with the Nativo Experience

Summary: This was an incredible excursion and one we’ll never forget! Our guide, Guillermo, was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the area - especially the caves and their history. The day was the perfect mix of experiences: • Exploring the landscape by 4x4 and learning about the land/history • Stopping for great photos at a stunning viewpoint • Visiting the caves and seeing ancient paintings • Enjoying a delicious meal (with plenty of wine!) in-front of a breathtaking view All of the guides were friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they do. They made the meal all the more special. We really can’t recommend this trip enough - it was a 10/10 experience!

Summary: Here’s what our guide said towards the end of our tour, “It’s about the human connection. The experience of being with others is our goal.” We drove along Lake Argentina to reach a private property with 4000!year old cave markings. They were wonderful to see, but the highlight was spending an afternoon in a cave (opening at top let in sunlight) Along with about 30 others. Hot lamb stew was hanging over an open flame ready to be served. The stew arrive in a lovely loaf of bread with a bread top lid. The wine flowed - a lovely Argentine Pinot Noir. With 6 at our table, we visited with folks from Uruguay, Brazil, Argentinians and us - a couple gringos. Truly a heart (and stomach) warming afternoon. Our guide was Waldemar who also is a musician in local bar.

Summary: Wow! An incredible tour and a must do! Our guide was so knowledgable about the culture! He explained everything in detail and gave us plenty of time to ask questions and learn more. The dinner as well was spectacular! The food was delicious and eating it in a cave was just an amazing experience. As our guide had a Welsh surname and I am Welsh, we spoke about the Welsh settlement and then he learnt how to say cheers in Welsh (and absolutely smashed the pronunciation!!)

Summary: Unbelievable experience. Super interesting learning about the native Patagonian’s, our tour guide Augustine was very helpful and informative. The cave dinner and view was surreal. We had an amazing time and would recommend to anyone looking to book.

Summary: Highly recommend. I booked the Native Experience tour which was very good. The tour operator was easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Everything was as advertised. I was told the day before what time to be ready. I was punctually picked up. Very good guide and driver. Excellent. Whilst I wouldn't put the actual tour high on your list, it is definitely worth doing if like me, you have done everything else, are interested in history and have half a day to kill before an evening flight, then yes! The tour departs I believe twice or thrice a day. I did the morning one which started at 11:00. Tour was for 3 and a half hours and I was back at the hotel by 14:30. This is an important archaeological site where the first cave paintings in the province were found. In addition to their archaeological value, the amazing beauty of the surrounding scene is ideal to enjoy the rocky shores of this area of the lake.  Stunning views. You will be in a 4x4. A bumpy ride to get there but worth it. Very relaxing and beautiful short walk. I was the only English speaker but the guide was super sweet and nice to make sure that I was included, and understood everything. I learnt a lot. The paintings are not so easy to decipher. The guide was great in educating me! The lunch at the end was divine with a view to die for! Unique. If you have dietary restrictions like me, let the tour operator know in advance and they can cater for this. I opted for the vegan lunch. It is winter now in Patagonia.  I am not sure if it is always like this but it was very windy and chilly.  I enjoyed it and learnt a lot. 

Summary: It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the tour employees were very nice and informative. They made us feel comfortable, and the entire tour was worth it.

Summary: Great views, right on sunset without a breath of wind, makes for perfect photos! Dinner was spot on and you do not leave hungry. Guide was very helpful and entertaining.

Summary: We had a wonderful evening with the Nativo, Lake and Caverns tour. The guide, Guilhermo was magnificent - he explained the history of the native civilisation with empathy and perspective - and shared with us his personal story of moving to Patagonia. The wine and dinner in the cave by the shores of Lake Argentina was stunning. Thanks to Gui and his team for making it a special experience! Definitely recommend.

Summary: Such a fun a night! We spotted a fox on the way. Beautiful sunset photos. Really enjoyed seeing and discussing the drawings and the indigenous way of life. Dinner was magical in the cave and enjoyed by the whole family.
